The American Australian Association will be offering a Neurological Fellowship to provide applicants with the opportunity to undertake research or study in neuroscience or neurosurgery for up to 12 months. The Fellowship will provide up to US$25,000 to cover travel, living and some project related expenses.
The Neurological Fellowship was created to assist the development of neurosurgical skills and research of neurosurgery for Australian and American practitioners.
Australia to US
Australian neurosurgeons or neuroscience researchers may undertake up to a 12 month visiting fellowship.
Application procedure
Applicants need to submit three letters of reference and a proposed budget.
Eligibility requirements -
- Neurosurgery Residents must have the support of their Program Director
- Practicing Neurosurgeons must have the support of their Chairman

Dr Little seeks to gain experience in neuroendoscopy and less invasive approaches to brain tumors. The experience he gains in Australia will be used to build an academic practice focusing on the treatment and study of brain tumors.
Dr Little attended Yale University and completed his medical training at the University of California.

Dr Wait seeks to gain experience in Australia that will enable him to build an academic practice focusing on pediatrics and neurosurgical oncology.
Dr Wait attended the University of North Carolina and completed his medical training at the East Carolina University School of Medicine.
