Teresa Palmer

Excellence in Film & Television Award

Teresa Palmer is a globally recognised actress who has been nominated for multiple Best Actress awards, including from the Australian Academy of Cinema Television Arts (AACTA), Critics Choice and Australian Film Critics Association.

 

In a stellar start to her career, Teresa was awarded the prestigious Australians in Film Breakthrough Award in 2011 and was named one of Australia’s ‘Stars of Tomorrow’ by Screen International. Her leading role in 2:37 captivated audiences worldwide, garnering acclaim at Cannes Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival and receiving a nomination for Best Actress by the Australian Film Institute (AFI).

Tim Minchin

Excellence in the Arts Award

In addition to two decades of award-winning live performance and multiple recorded specials, Tim is the composer and lyricist of smash-hit stage musicals, Matilda and Groundhog Day.

 

He is also a screenwriter (of the award-winning Upright, in which he stars alongside House of The Dragon’s Milly Alcock), and a screen actor, (Atticus Fetch in Californication, Friar Tuck in Robin Hood 2014, Darius Cracksworth in Disney’s The Artful Dodger).

Warwick Thornton is one of the most awarded filmmakers on the international scene, notably having won the Camera d’Or at Cannes for SAMSON AND DELILAH, along with the Platform Prize at Toronto and the Special Jury Prize at Venice for SWEET COUNTRY.

 

Warwick most recently wrote and directed THE NEW BOY starring Cate Blanchett, which was nominated for 12 AACTA’s (Australia’s Oscars) in 2023 including Best Film and Best Direction.
