Scholarship Programs

Our Australia to United States Scholarships Are Now Open For Applications!

The 2026 application window will close March 31 at 2359 ET.

The American Australian Association’s scholarship program advances both study and artistic practice that address shared global challenges and deepen the bilateral relationship between Australia and the United States. By providing awards of up to USD $40,000 to support tuition and living expenses at accredited institutions in either country, the Association empowers recipients to pursue rigorous research, innovative solutions, and distinguished creative work.

Beyond financial support, our scholarships cultivate networks of alumni, institutional partners, and public-minded leaders, reflecting a commitment to long-term impact, cross-cultural exchange, and service in both the public and private sectors. Applicants are selected for academic excellence, demonstrated potential for leadership, and a clear capacity to contribute to sustained bilateral engagement.

To date, the Association has awarded more than USD $19 million to over 1,150 scholars – including veterans, researchers, and artists – whose work advances measurable impact, creative excellence, and enduring engagement between Australia and the United States.
