On Monday, September 10, the American Australian Association and the Embassy of Australia, in conjunction with Australian golf legend Greg Norman, hosted the 2nd Annual Mateship Charity Golf Tournament at the Liberty National Golf Course in Jersey City, NJ.
Attendees were treated to a magnificent day on one of the world’s most exclusive golf courses with the opportunity to spend time with Greg Norman and Ambassador Joe Hockey. After everyone finished their game, a cocktail reception was held where Greg Norman, Matthew Dellavedova and Jan Stephenson participated in a fireside chat and then presented awards to the top three foursomes.
Thank you to all our sponsors, in particular Bluescope Steel, Dyno Nobel, United Airlines, IFM Investors and VGI Partners for their incredible support in making this event a huge success. A special thanks is also owed to every veteran who joined us on the day, including WWII veterans Steve Melnikoff, Steve Sarandin, Jack Foy, Frank DeVita and Pete DuPre and AAA veteran scholars James Coltheart, Callum Newton and Jeramiah Wegner.
Proceeds from the Mateship Charity Golf Tournament helped further endow the Association’s American-Australian Veterans’ Scholarship Fund.
