On June 8th, we hosted a Los Angeles Tech Week event celebrating Aussies Landing & Growing in the US.
The event brought together Australia’s top LA-based startup talent, business leaders, and investors to connect over drinks and bites at one of LA’s premier Aussie-owned venues – E.P & L.P., located in the heart of West Hollywood.
The evening included a panel discussing real-world experiences on Landing & Growing in the US. What Aussies need to be aware of, how funding, VC models, salaries in the US are different from back home in Australia. What go-to-market strategies need to be deployed here, and most importantly how do you successfully enter the US market and what to focus on first.
Panelists included Lani Cooper (MOBOT), Jason Atkins (Cake Equity), Marisa Warren (ALIAVIA Ventures), Natasha Trindall (Alo Moves) and Levi Aron, moderated by Laura Leventhal (American Australian Association).
