2025 G'Day USA Arts Gala:
Los Angeles Wildfire Relief Fundraiser

Our hearts are with everyone in Los Angeles impacted by the devastating wildfires.

The American Australian Association and its G’Day USA partners have made the decision to donate all profits from the 2025 G’Day USA Arts Gala to California fire relief efforts. We appreciate all our sponsors whose generous contributions will go towards supporting the Greater Los Angeles community at this extremely difficult time.

For over 100 years, Americans and Australians have shared a special bond, standing together in moments of triumph as well as hardship. A large community of Australians are proud to call Los Angeles home alongside their American mates.

It is our hope that the 2025 G’Day USA Arts Gala: Los Angeles Fire Relief Fundraiser will be an opportunity to not only recognize exceptional Australian talent but showcase the great friendship between our countries by rallying together in support of those affected by the wildfires.

The American Red Cross California Wildfires 2025 Fund

The American Australian Association is proud to partner with the American Red Cross to help people affected by the 2025 California Wildfires. Profits from the 2025 G’Day USA Arts Gala will go towards the Red Cross California Wildfires 2025 fund, which enables the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from these disasters.

Following a disaster, the American Red Cross mobilizes to meet the immediate disaster-caused needs of individuals, families, and communities, providing care, comfort, and immediate support. When resources allow, thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Red Cross may provide additional long-term recovery programs to support individual and household recovery and address community-wide needs. The Red Cross remains in active response mode and is working with those impacted, community leaders, and elected officials to develop long-term recovery plans. Specialized task forces have been established to support immediate and long-term needs, including feeding, veteran care and long-term housing. This work is ongoing and will emerge organically in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

Since the California Wildfires 2025 response began more than a week ago, the Red Cross and theirpartners have provided more than 10,000 overnight shelter stays, nearly 90,000 meals and snacks, and financial assistance to over 4,300 individuals. Financial assistance empowers families to take control of their recovery and decide their next steps by helping to replace clothing, secure new housing or offset any other critical needs.

  • With hyper-local partners like 211LA, Red Cross services are proactively being offered to each individual who contacts the resource center looking for assistance related to the wildfires.
  • Working alongside diverse community partners such as local Consulates, Veterans organizations, Latino and Black state caucuses, NAACP and others, Red Cross services are being offered at various Family Assistance Centers and points of service to ensure communities who may be hesitant to come to Red Cross shelters are still able to access relief and recovery services, validated by trusted community organizations.  Through these unique outreach efforts, an estimated 10,500 individuals have been reached with relief and recovery services so far, including financial assistance.
