Your body is constantly evolving. The body you had yesterday is not the body you have today, or will have tomorrow. As we navigate different life stages, it becomes essential to understand and listen to our bodies, approaching everyday movement as a series of evolving transitions.
For women, this awareness is especially important. Whether you’re considering fertility treatment and pregnancy, or transitioning through peri-menopause and menopause, each life stage brings unique health and wellness considerations. Mindful movement isn’t just about responding to injuries and stress; it’s about exploring our deeper selves to identify our unique needs and adapting how we move through life.
During this gentle 45-minute movement workshop, somatic movement educator Sonja Johansson will guide you through a series of mat-based mobility sequences and breath work designed to help you:
- Improve coordination
- Reduce tension
- Bring awareness to habitual patterns
- Discover a kinder, smarter way to build resilience
This is not a yoga session or sweaty workout! There are no poses to hold, no stretching, and no “right” way to do the movements. Instead, expect a focus on comfort, curiosity, and ease that will leave you feeling lighter, taller, and more connected to your body.
This workshop is inclusive and welcomes women of all life stages and abilities. If low-impact floor movement isn’t accessible for you, seated and adapted options will be provided to ensure everyone can participate fully.
