Ashleigh McArthur is a filmmaker currently pursuing an M.F.A in Documentary Film at Stanford University. She is a graduate of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and the recipient of an Ian Potter Cultural Trust Grant. Her first student film, Pat’s Studio, premiered at the Sydney Museum of Contemporary Art with the Antenna Documentary Festival and screened at festivals in Australia and the US. Prior to her filmmaking career Ashleigh spent eight years in the Australian foreign service, where she contributed to public policy on security, human rights and climate change and represented Australia in Solomon Islands, Mexico and the US.
