Leon Allen served as an American Australian Association (AAA) Inc. Board Member in the USA from 2016-2019 and was a member of the Audit Committee. He is a company director and corporate adviser through his firm Porphyry Advisory, founded in 2025. He is currently Chair of Interport Global Consolidated Holdings Pty Ltd and Director of Queensland Hydro Pty Ltd.

Until 2025 he was Chief Executive Officer of Queensland Treasury Corporation (QTC), the State’s central financing authority managing over A$130 billion in outstandings and lending and financial advisory services to state entities. Mr Allen was Under Treasurer (departmental Secretary) of Queensland Treasury during the COVID period of 2020-23. His ex-officio duties included Chair State Investment Advisory Board, Chair South Bank Corporation, Director QTC, Member of the Queensland Public Service Board and Director of Trade & Investment Queensland.

Mr Allen spent 14 years with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) in its Institutional Banking & Markets division, including four years as CEO & Managing Director of CBA, Americas and four years as Managing Director of its national Healthcare, Government and Education team. Early in his career, Mr Allen worked for state and federal government agencies, including the Australian Government’s Department of Finance, Queensland Treasury and Ergon Energy and as member of the Queensland Government’s asset sales taskforce. Mr Allen is based in Brisbane, supporting the AAA’s regional presence.
