On Saturday, August 7 2021, over 420 keen picnickers gathered in Prospect Park on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Friends and families lay down their picnic blankets and settled in for a healthy dose of community spirit and good Aussie fun!
We were joined by two AAA Scholars, Olivia Chindamo and Camilla Caldwell, who performed acoustic pop-up sets throughout the afternoon. The white bread-onion-tomato sauce snag was the talk of the park (most went back for seconds!); a dry Weetbix eating competition and Australian thong toss prompted some good-spirited competition; and no smiles were quite as big as the ones on the faces of our lucky raffle winners.
