Back by popular demand, the Ballet International Gala (BIG) returns to Brisbane for two nights only at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (Southbank) on Friday 26th & Saturday 27th August 2022.
Don’t miss the incredible opportunity to experience principal dancers from the world’s best companies (including from Teatro alla Scala, the Royal Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Staatsballett Berlin, Australian Ballet & the Astana Opera), as perform highlights from the most iconic ballets.
In an Australian first, BIG is proud to present some of ballet’s biggest ever artists including: Roberto Bolle, Daniil Simkin, Skylar Brandt, Aran Bell, Yasmine Naghdi, Alexander Campbell, Francesca Hayward, Cesar Corrales & more, in what is set to become the biggest ballet gala in the Southern Hemisphere and biggest ballet gala to have ever come to Australia.
BIG II will open to a spectacular drum line & brass ensemble collaboration between some of Australia’s most promising artists and our international stars; followed by a series of classical pas de deux from some of ballet’s most iconic moments (performed by the world’s leading artists); and will close with its critically acclaimed rock finale, as our international and local stars collaborate alongside Australia’s latest rock phenomena, “The Selfish Sons.”
