Australian Creative Writing Showcase

Join the American Australian Association and the American Association of Australasian Literary Studies for an evening of live readings from the 2021 and 2022 AAALS Antipodes Creative Writing Competition Winners! 

 

Rosanna Licari, Susan Hancock, Susanne Kennedy, and Catherine Padmore were selected by AAALS judges for their works in either poetry or fiction/nonfiction. The reading will consist of the following:

 

2021 Winners

2022 Winners 

• Suzanne Kennedy “Cemetery Carnival”
• Catherine Padmore “Siren” (selections)

We will also be joined by special guests Graham Akhurst and Paul Kane!

 

The American Association of Australasian Literary Studies (AAALS), established in 1986, is a scholarly organization with members on four continents. An invitation to membership is extended to all those interested in Australian and New Zealand literature and culture specifically, and postcolonial studies more generally.
