Meet Sasha Purcell: Torres Strait Islander, Human Rights and International Law lawyer, Doctoral Researcher – and a 2020 AAA-Aurora-Lisa Fox Foundation Indigenous Scholar.
Sasha is currently based in New York, pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) at New York University, whilst also working as a NYU Human Rights Scholar and expert panelist for the United Nations advocating for climate change and international law. Sasha was selected as a finalist for the 2021 National NAIDOC Scholar of the Year Award.
