On July 26, we were thrilled to host a conversation between art writers Jessica Lynne and Jillian Steinhauer at our office in Manhattan.
Jessica was our inaugural winner of The Beverley Art Writers Travel Grant, established in 2022 by John Melick. The $10,000 grant supports independent US art writers and journalists who wish to visit and explore Australia’s thriving visual arts and culture communities. The discussion focused on Jessica’s time in Australia and the collaborative nature of her project; the work of Carole Y. Johnson, founder of the NAISDA Dance College and Bangarra Dance Theatre; and Black art & culture.
