Veteran Scholarships
Australia to USA round 1:
- Applicants coming from Australia to the US must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia (dual US citizens/permanent residents are not eligible);
- Applicants must be honorably discharged post 9/11; and
- Applicants must be planning to undertake a minimum of one-year full time study at an American University.
- Applicants coming from the United States to Australia must be US citizens or permanent residents the US (dual Australian citizens/permanent residents are not eligible);

Yes. Scholarships must be used at a minimum of 6 months or a maximum of 1 year.
Scholarship funds may be used to support travel, living, tuition or other associated educational costs. Scholarship funds can be used in conjunction with other veteran support such as the GI Bill. Download a budget template to use in your application here.
Under no circumstances will the American Australian Association fund an individual who was previously given a scholarship or grant.
